Data-driven decision-making involves making decisions based on data, not on intuition or assumptions. Data-driven decision-making relies heavily on data quality and the way in which we analyze and interpret that data. In order to determine what data is needed, where to get it, and how to use it, however, an organization must understand the desired end goal. Developing a proper understanding of the relationship between data and the models used to make sense of that data can enable decision-makers to turn analytical insights into valuable ideas and projects.
