The Center for AI in Business Analytics and Financial Technology (FinTech) helps institutions and organizations leverage the immense resources within Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science to incubate ideas and develop innovative solutions to hard problems that can be taken to the marketplace.
The Center, housed within Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), has been designed from its inception to partner closely with industry and government to pursue transformational change within the financial industry. From hedge funds to real estate and asset management to advanced data analysis, The Center provides world-class faculty, research, and students to take advanced technology from the lab to the market.
For over 300 years Columbia University in the City of New York, a beacon of higher education, has been at the forefront of innovation in science and technology, with more than 80 Nobel Prizes awarded to Columbia affiliates and dozens of partnerships with companies and organizations in fields as diverse as medicine, defense, manufacturing, and others. Given that New York City is both the financial capital of the world and home to Columbia University, there has historically existed a special relationship between the financial industry and Columbia through its alumni.
